2. Ride the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel

This 200-foot-tall Ferris wheel sits at the foot of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and is the centerpiece to The Island in Pigeon Forge. Each of the all-glass gondolas provides a comfortable ride for up to 8 guests, or you can purchase a VIP ticket to have your very own gondola! The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel is in operation during the day and at night, so be sure to check out the day/night combo ticket so that you can ride twice for two completely different experiences!

3. Watch The Island Show Fountain

Another one of the best things to do at The Island in Pigeon Forge is to watch The Island Show Fountain, a stunning presentation of water dance and light that is choreographed to 14 pieces of music! This free show features over 89 vertical nozzles that create movement while 6 motion-based nozzles produce water sprays that swirl to the music. As if that wasn’t enough, there is a geyser nozzle that blasts water 60 feet into the air for added excitement! The Island Show Fountain performs daily from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. with shows starting every 30 minutes at the top of each hour.
