More Than Just “Kiddie” Pigeon Forge Attractions

Pigeon Forge is known as one of the best family-friendly vacation spots in the United States, with plenty of attractions that are appropriate and engaging for everyone. But that doesn’t mean all Pigeon Forge Attractions are simply “kiddie-rides.” There are plenty of activities to help satisfy the adrenaline junky looking for excitement and adventure in the Great Smoky Mountains. From bungee jumping to indoor skydiving, fast-speed go karts and white-water rafting, Pigeon Forge and the surrounding areas have plenty to offer for the brave at heart.

Ziplines & Whiplash

Located close to a mile and a half from the Pigeon Forge Parkway, Smoky Mountain Ziplines offers over a mile and a half of cable across 18 different lines. Guides are fully-trained to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests and newcomers are started on the 14 line canopy tour that eases you into the process before you being soaring over treetops. Thrill seekers looking for the ultimate experience can ride the “super lines,” arguably the fastest lines in Sevier County traveling over 40MPH and over one hundred feet in the air!

Soaring High & Fast

For the daredevil looking for one of the most thrilling rides Pigeon Forge has to offer there’s the Skyscraper at Fast Tracks. Two riders are strapped into freely-people on a swinging riderotating seats attached to the end of a massive 160-foot-tall rotating arm (which is 16 stories, by the way) that starts off turning slow but quickly climbs to speeds of over 70 miles per hour!  You’ll pull 2Gs at the top and 4Gs at the bottom while soaring high enough to see most of the Pigeon Forge Parkway. Oh, and there’s a nifty camera attached to the seating so that family and friends below can watch you scream (whether out of terror or delight). Of course there are other Pigeon Forge Attractions available to those seeking even more thrills, such as the Bungee Jump and SkyFlyer at The Track. Regular adrenaline junkies know bungee jumping is a staple for the brave at heart and The Track’s 65-foot plunge doesn’t disappoint. The SkyFlyer straps riders in horizontally, raising you about 120 feet in the air before dropping you into a free-fall that sends you gliding back and forth between the arch.

These are only a few of the Pigeon Forge Attractions that any thrill-seeking tourist will want to experience. Those looking for something to make their hair stand and their heart race will not be disappointed in the Great Smoky Mountains!
